To the OP, just buy a Tesla and get yourself a second car you can drive using gas. Tesla's range is what, close to 200 miles? That's more than good enough for most situations.

There's no physical space to install an entire engine and exhaust system in Tesla.

The closest match is the old Tesla Roadster -- it's built on the Lotus Elise platform, so just buy an Elise.

You are nuts, because:

1. Electric is less polluting than petrol, and will become even less so. We all have to do our part to reduce global warming.

2. Tesla is not as visionary a company as Apple was back in the day, and Musk is as crazy but not as professionally reliable as Jobs. I would not buy a Tesla.

I really like how the Telsla looks. But I don't like electric cars as love the roar of the engine and sometimes I drive a long distance and need gas.

I was wondering if there would be a market for a gas powered Telsla. I would love to buy one with a Corvette engine in it. Am I nuts? What do you think?
