I went to Beauty and Essex a couple of years ago. You enter through a pawn shop and the restaurant is really cool inside. It's actually owned by the Tao Group. Lots of bars nearby, too. Food is small plates/tapas.

Not sure where your activities are, but midtown is always convenient for getting to other places...I like Refinery Rooftop, Sen Sakana, L'Adresse, Benjamin, Landmarc, Ai Fiori.

I think we did Lucky Cheng’s drag show dinner for mine.

Hi there,

My younger sister is getting married and I'm trying to organize a bachelorette dinner for her in NYC (I'm in DC). The crowd will be about 15 women in their early 30s. One of the women suggested Tijuana Picnic, but they don't take reservations for groups far in advance. We are trying to organize some other activities in the city, so having a neighborhood set for dinner would be nice. Any recommendations?
