We want to know how much they will give us for our trade-in (not interested in selling it privately at this time, need this done quickly.) The salesperson has inquired “how much do we currently owe”, but I don’t want to tell them. I just want to know what they’d give us.
Also, don’t care what the monthly payment would be (we have a wide range we will be willing to pay), just want to know the actual sales price of the vehicle. They just keep asking, “Well, what are you looking to pay a month.” Just tell me the price of the car.
If you’ve BTST recently, what words should I be using in my follow up? Thanks!
"How much do you owe?" Reply: "That's not relevant. What is the value for this trade-in?"
"How much are you looking to pay a month?" Reply: "That's not relevant. What is your bottom line price for the car."
Later, rinse, repeat until you get the answers you need.
