I’m a journalist in DC. I’ve covered local news here since 1993. I’ve known Trayon White ever since he was a teenage community activist haranguing Tony Williams at crime scenes on Alabama Ave.
He has worked tirelessly to make Ward 8, and east of the river in general, a better, safer place for the people who live there. He’s not a polished guy. He didn’t go to an Ivy. And he doesn’t give a damn what white people in Bethesda think about him. He knows whom he represents, and their opinion, not DCUM’s, are what matters to him. And it baffles me why DCUM can’t seem to comprehend that. I mean, you went to Ivies. You should be able to figure this out.

Yes, he's done a great job making Ward 8 a better place by claiming Jews run the weather. He's not fit to run a McDonald's, much less represent a wide swath of DC that needs a strong advocate, not a cretin.
