We currently have a first floor laundry and would love a 2nd floor laundry. Would that add some value? What would you rather have? An impressive looking two story living room with balcony 2nd floor hallway or space 2nd floor laundry?
Definitely a laundry room.
Am I the only one who is afraid of a small child or a curious child of any age falling off that damned balcony and dying? I HATE two story foyers.
Hate them with a passion.

I'm not a fan of the two story foyer, and really like what they did in the Apartment Therapy post

That Apartment Therapy post is amazing! Without any verticle supporting beam in the center, I'd wonder how feasible this is for a larger space?
Funny that the WaPo article about the 2 story foyer as a beast (impractical) is 15 years old. Yet, how long did the 2 story foyer continue? And why would you build one?
