OP again. Someone who works at Rodef in Falls Church told me that the biggest groups of their teens go to McLean and Yorktown, which is why I was surprised on further investigation that neither school seems to have all that many Jewish kids. Rodef has something like 1800 member families...

Did you look at the report OP posted? NoVa now has more Jewish residents than suburban Maryland or DC, and they are younger as well.

That was my understanding as well. A family friend is Jewish and has lived in NoVa for 25+ years and her kids attended Annandale, but the area is now zoned for Woodson.

Used to think it was Reston. That number seems very high. There are very few Jews in nova, but more than there used to be—more than before nova became a “thing” (for whatever reason).

Obviously, the higher concentrations would be closer to Jewish temples and community centers, although there are Jewish kids in every part of FCPS. In fact, you might not realize who is Jewish and who isn't.

Seems scattered to me. My kids are in the minority at their school/s in Burke but we’ve met other Jewish kids at religious school.

OP here. Just looked up, there are about 3 million people in NoVa, making Jews about 4%. But there are clearly some areas with almost no Jews, eg the Route 1 corridor, parts of Prince William, much of South Arlington, upper Great Falls, etc. So, either the demographic estimates are off, or you'd think there would be a few schools with >10%.

In a minority majority school system, many kids are in schools where >10% of their particular minority is represented. In many schools a major of kids are in that situation.
