Other than AP testing, I really don’t see the benefits. Start at the end of August and get out the 2nd week of June vs starting mid-August and getting out the end of May? It’s still the same amount of time. Everything will just shift. For example, if a child is bored at the end of August the child will just get bored two weeks earlier. SOL testing would be two weeks earlier and end of year shut down will do the same.
