We did put a copy of our train ticket in the car windshield, because we were more afraid of getting towed than of our car getting broken into, but he also said that wasn't even necessary.

Just take an Uber and skip the car seat. It's one ride. Especially if you park kinda not close, then Uber the rest of the way.
Or you have someone drop you off at the station. A friend or your DH.
