Unfortunately the gravel lot is no longer open to public parking, it’s used for city vehicles. The Amtrak website has a link for spot hero. There are pay to park garages not too far from the station that allow overnight parking. https://www.amtrak.com/stations/alx

This. It's only two stops and the train is pretty empty since FS is the end of the line.

Same with Huntington. There are long term spots in the parking garage there.

Just take an Uber and skip the car seat. It's one ride. Especially if you park kinda not close, then Uber the rest of the way.

Or you have someone drop you off at the station. A friend or your DH.

Yeah, if you're so worried about the car seat can you just have someone drop you off at the station in your car? A neighbor or relative or DH?

Park at another metro station that has overnight parking and metro in (or take a bus), or take uber/lyft.

How long are you looking to park? How far are you willing to walk? The Amtrak station is basically right behind the King Street station in Old Town Alexandria - parking will be expensive.

You could park further away and take the King St. Trolly, but you would still need to walk some.

Is it necessary that you park? Can you use Uber/Lyft? Can you park somewhere else and take metro?

It looks like there is no overnight parking at the Amtrak station in Alexandria. Can anyone confirm that’s true? If true, do you know where a close garage is? Price matters.
