A half asian/white guy asked me what race I thought he looked like and I said asian before knowing he was mixed. He was disappointed I guessed Asian.

Is kimora simmons asian or black? she's mixed too. She doesn't look black though and hip hop forums say she is asian to them.

When given the choice, we pick "multiracial" or select both Asian & Caucasian.

Hi Op. I'm interested in this as well. Mine is a bit different though, DH is white. I am half white, half Asian. DS is very fair with blonde hair and blue eyes but has distinct Asian features as well. As he's too young to understand race, I wonder what others make of him. Just out of curiosity.

I think it's how the child self-identifies. But generally today we would say mixed-race.
