I thought it was around 77 or 78 because I was a little kid and it was my first concert. My dad took me and my older sister because we were in love with Shaun from the Hardy Boys. I remember singing we will rock you all the way home. That song came out in 77 (date is off in the movie.) It had to be Queen. We couldn't both be wrong. Maybe I could be off a little on the year. I too have tried to confirm it without success.
Sean Cassidy played the Riverfront Coliseum April 4, 1978. Queen did not tour from Dec. 23, 1977 to April 12, 1978.
Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975. By 1977 Queen was far from an opening act. In Feb. 1978 we are the champions was #4 on the charts.

I'm 53. I doubt that Queen opened up for many acts. maybe when they were just starting out . . . but not for long, I bet
PP, Cassidy was a pop idol - and a teen heartthrob. His brother, David, was another heartthrob who was on the Partridge Family.

Half-brother. Shirley Jones was Shaun's mother, David's stepmother.
