Jacadi, Petit Bateau, La Coqueta, Amaia - all European brands, which are more expensive, but they fit better and, most importantly, they last so much longer!

JoJoMaman Bebe is decent quality.
Older Hanna.
Mini Boden is generally good quality. I love their designs.

Tea collection is cute, but the quality is hit or miss and the necklines often stretch quickly.

I love Tuc Tuc, which is a Spanish brand also sold in the UK. But their clothing isn't available anywhere here that I am aware of, unfortunately.

I like to shop ebay for older Hanna, Janie and Jack and as PP mentioned Polarn o Pyret. Also on ebay, European/UK brands which will usually be higher quality than brands sold in US. (Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, Mayoral, Joules, and some German and French brands that I can't remember right now.)

I disagree. I buy a lot of Mini Boden and it has great resale. At least 50% of what I paid or more. And it holds up well. Old Hanna is the same but I agree the newer stuff is hit or miss in quality. I’ve mostly turned to small shops for quality clothes that are cute, durable and hold resale value.

I don't buy a lot of boutique clothing anymore now that my son is older and has opinions. As much as it surprises me to say I have found that all of our target clothes can easily make it through another child or more.

Some of the comments on the Janie and Jack thread - about quality of their merchandise going down and the logo-ification of so much of their clothes - got me thinking... is quality of “quality” kids brands going down? For instance, I have been buying Hanna Andersen clothes for many years, and have received some as hand me downs that are probably a decade old and still in great shape. Last couple years, I feel the quality of their PJs and girls dresses has gone down. Thinner material, less durable. Went in there recently for a baby gift and the baby stuff just wasn’t as soft and cuddly as I remembered.
Another example - Tea. Bought leggings from them and the knees wore thin way too quickly.

Thoughts? Will these companies go the way of J & J? What are your tried and true quality clothing brands for your kids?
