So you have 2 more appointments left at most? Is flying an option? That would be the quickest and you will be gone for 8 hours max

Op here: Yes I had a hard time finding a Orthodontist to accept my case. Now I need to find one who will accept transfer patients and my case. I have had Orthodontist turn me down. It's depressing.

Do you live in the DC area? What city is this orthodontist in?

I mean, it's not like Washington DC is in the boonies...I'm surprised you can't find an acceptable orthodontist within a couple hours (so that even includes other metropolitan areas like Baltimore and Philadelphia--heck even NYC is less than 7 hours drive!) that can handle your extremely unusual situation.

You have no idea what issues you may have between now and Apr20 wrt a more and more pregnant you, unknown baby, and older child. Change docs now and get it over with before you have two to take care of.

Op here. I have always brought him and it has never been an issue. He sits in a chair next to me with his iPad. Now when the baby comes I will be in trouble. I do have local friends who could help. My appointments usually last 10 minutes. They're very fast. My son was there for my hour long appointment when they put them on.

And I recently moved 7 hours away from my Orthodontist. I was planning on driving back for appointments. Do you think it's possible? Due date in November and braces are supposed to come off in April. Right now my appointments are every 6 weeks. I may be able to space it out more. I am very hesitant to transfer because my case is not an easy one. I have bite issues. I am thinking we could drive on the weekend and could come back Monday night if my husband can drive with us. I should be fine for a while to go with just my 3 year old. I can also stay in a city about half way. Am I over thinking this? It really takes 5.5 hours if you take the highway but I prefer not to drive on the highway. It's stressful and there's bound to be traffic the GPS will not pick up.
