All LCPS high school students are now required tio take at least one virtual (on-line) class to graduate. From what I understand, this is a fairly new requirement, and I'm not quite sure how it works.
Our daughter (a junior next year) is making out her schedule and would like to take Economics/Personal Finance (a required coiurse) through Virtual Loudoun. That way, two requirements are met at once. Also, we'd like her to take this class during the school year, as opposed to over the summer, when it would cost $695.
Has any Loudoun parent/student had any experience with Virtual Loudoun? If I understand correctly, the class is taken at the school during one of the regular class blocks. Our daughter is worried that this will not count as a class and that she would need to take another class at the school to fill out her schedule.
Thanks for any insight.
