Yes, I had to do this Summer Term 3 twice with my child to fulfill HPE/ (9&10 Driver's Ed) requirements. My child wanted to take extra APs as electives. We also wanted to avoid the locker rooms. Yes, it did cost $695 a course which is absurd.

As of June 29th though, Virtual Loudoun has lowered the cost per course to $375, even for private school students.

Yes, Virtual Loudoun is the only online provider that LCPS will accept for credit.

i am trying to get my kid into Economics/Personal Finance as well during summer time. This would help knock off 2 electives within 2-3 month timeframe, instead of 9 months.

695$ is a bit high, but it probably will be worth it if your kid has AP level courses during the school year.

This will count as a class and will give proper credits. But, during the school year, you will have to take some other electives (easy ones). Please check with your assigned Student Counselor at the school for details and clarifications.

Most FCPS students take this same Econ class online for same reasons. Checks off two boxes at once.

All LCPS high school students are now required tio take at least one virtual (on-line) class to graduate. From what I understand, this is a fairly new requirement, and I'm not quite sure how it works.

Has any Loudoun parent/student had any experience with Virtual Loudoun? If I understand correctly, the class is taken at the school during one of the regular class blocks. Our daughter is worried that this will not count as a class and that she would need to take another class at the school to fill out her schedule.
