Why get such a big car to just seat 6?

I’m the one above who said my husband was rear ended with basically no damage. Ask about it when you see the car.

+1

Loved the space, though. We ended up going with the Subaru Ascent instead bc DH preferred how it drove.

The Atlas has significantly more space behind the 3rd row than most mini-vans or other 3-row SUV’s. The safety ratings were excellent. I would certainly err on the side of putting babies or small children in the 2nd row. But the good thing about this car is that older kids and adults can actually comfortably fit in the 3rd row.

Absolutely love it. I think it drives really smoothly and appreciate the safety features. Highly recommend the captain’s chairs—has made in and out with my infant and toddler really easy. We didn’t get 4WD which helps for better gas mileage and it still drives really well in the snow. Definitely recommend it.

We bought an SEL with captain’s chairs this summer. Love the chairs. Big interior. So far no issues but it’s early days. The drive is unremarkable and it guzzles gas.

We have it. We have the beta version and it’s kind of annoying that we have had to take it back due to a number of recalls etc.
The only thing that annoys me about it is that it’s not a minivan and we have 3 kids so one has to climb in the back.
DH likes it - he’s the one who drives it.
Just the other day DH was rear ended while driving it. Our car barely has a dent.
Apparently the guy who hit him - his car was messed up.

Love ours. Got it in the fall and are very pleased. Very comfortable and plenty of space for our family of five.

Yes, we have one! Great size, real third row, good technology including lane assist, etc. May not be a luxurious as other SUVs, but very solid and practical.

Does anyone have a Volkswagen Atlas? Are you happy with it? We are leaning towards this for our next SUV. Thanks.
