I'm going to take it in the best way possible. At day care, they change diapers and feed kids and the ratio for a 7 mo are better than 1:6. But, definitely could be taken not in the best way as well.

I definitely did not mean a single negative thing by saying it’s different than daycare. No diapers, no feeding, different adult to child ratio! My goodness!

When she went ~ 2-3, my LO didn't really like it (she's been in daycare since she was 4 mos old). But now at 4, she doesn't mind/wants to go. We now talk it up as a play space/new set of toys. But we also don't leave her there for more than 30-45 minutes and usually make it part of a multi-part outing.

I also take my daughter there, for the past couple of years. She's 7 now, and usually one of the oldest there--most of the others are toddlers and even infants.

I think my kids were around two or so. There is a daycare at lifetime fitness. My kids liked it a lot. They both getting smoothies after my workout

I started taking my child at 18 months. He cried at first but like any other drop off you roll with it. 2 years later he loves to go and commonly sees the same kids there during the day since we go generally at the same time. You have to let them work it out a little and not worry.

My thought is you should hire a sitter to watch your kid while you work out.

Just started taking my newly 4 yo and he’s doing great. At 2 it would have been hard for him but ymmv.

Thanks - did you do anything specific the first time you dropped off? I’m worried my toddler would just cry and I’m assuming they would call me after a couple minutes and would have to leave.

I'd think 5 at least.

How old was your kid when she started accompanying a parent to the gym? I’m thinking about joining a gym, but I’m not sure how my 2 year old would adjust to the supervised play while I workout alone. Any thoughts? (I did post a similar question this morning but it got moved to a forum that gets zero traffic, so asking for different ideas here.)
