My husband went to the open house but I missed it. When we were called off the waitlist we had an opportunity to go back so I did get to see the classrooms and the school in action more. I think both experiences were helpful, though, when I went we had less time to mull things over (it wasn't a particularly hard choice but it does feel big!)

I would go to the Saturday open house and read the QSR report thoroughly, as well as the process used to conduct the reviews.

It gives you a far better idea of how the classrooms work than you can get in the 5-10 minute glimpses.

I went a few years ago and it was one of the better run Open Houses. Because it is on a Saturday, they are able to have more staff and parents on hand to help and answer questions. Honestly, I never found it very helpful to see the classes in action anyway because you can only take a small peek without being too disruptive. When I went, the tours were fairly intimate and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions and see the classrooms.

If you went in past years, was it informative, or a waste of time? Trying to decide whether to go tomorrow. Both open houses this year are scheduled for a Saturday, when I can't see the classes in action.
