No question. Being able to carpool has changed things so much for the better. We have seen families rent minivans as needed, I guess you can do that. But road trips are awesome since more space and seating options.

Why do you forgo for that for a Jeep Cherokee???? Are you Lee iacocca’s Granddaughter?

Get the minivan or 3rd row suv and make life easier

We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the second row seating is horrible, there is NO room.
I love our Jeep, but I am now looking to replace it for this reason. I would think twice about it just for that reason.

As long as you don’t want others to drive your child to activities, it’s fine. But I do get peeved by a friend who always asks to carpool with our large group knowing she can’t reciprocate.

I always have a good excuse not to participate in carpools. I like to have flexibility in when we leave and where we go after an activity, so I always prefer to just drive my own kids. It’s easiest to just say, oh, we don’t have room in our car.

We generally check our schedules and only sign up for things we know that we can get our kids to and back.

I have three kids and carpools are important to me. When I need to get multiple kids to multiple sports at the same time, carpools save me! I would not want to ask a friend to drive one of my kids to a practice/game if I could not offer to do the same for her at another time. So, I prefer having a third row. Also, new SUVs make it easy to fold down the third row and still have a lot of space in the back.
