This was my husband when he was unemployed for 8 months, I didn't make him breakfast though.

Does she not have a job? Do you have kids? What sort of "benefits" is she getting out of her marriage to you besides your ability to make breakfast and wash a plate?

I am a DW and get up at 6 am. I leave for work at 7.

When I was on maternity leave, I'd sleep in til 8.

I'm the wife and I get up at 5:20am. My DH gets up at 6am. Both out the door with the kids by 7:15am.

Is this something she developed recently or has always been? If former, she might be depressed or something is going on. If the latter, you’re the enabler In either case if it’s not working for you, have you tried talking to her about it? Does she work? Do you have kids?

Being depressed is not a free pass, she get help or they divorce.

Idk anybody that is not a teen who sleeps till 10 and I don't know any woman who sits on the toilet for 45 minutes.

I'm assuming this is for working from home or non working spouses.
Dh gets up at 4:30 and leaves for gym/work.
I get up 6/6:30 whenever the preschooler barges into my room. If I wasn't working I'd get up then too since there's no sleeping though "mommy mommy, want pee, want milk, want cartoon, hold my bunny, help get jnto bed with mommy, bounce bounce bounce!"

In your case sounds like your wife is depressed, or has some other motivation issues.

My wife was like that for most of the 16 years we were married. Notice the past tense.

I was the one with the full-time job and was the default parent from ES onward. She routinely slept until 10 a.m. or later and only made half-hearted efforts to find work.

Maddening.

Well, I struggle with depression so today I am still under the covers on my phone at 11am. Other days I am up at 5:30 heading to the gym.
