I’ve never used my phone while driving, even at a stoplight.
I had a mom I was carpooling with TELL ME that I should stop and check my texts at stoplights so that I could tell her where her little pookie was and I wanted to strangle her for being a total idiot. Which I think that most people are because when the light turns green most of the cars don’t move!

I think she meant that in general, years of watching the adult driver NOT use the phone is pretty influential. Not blaming the OP per se.
