Call this guy!

https://www.saintautopaint.com/

He comes to your house. I found him on yelp (excellent reviews) and was a little skeptical, but he did an amazing job.

Where are you located? My bank/insurance is USAA and on their website they have recommended mechanics / body shop locations.

Just take it in and get it fixed. You will not have to worry about it.

You bought the car used - unless you think it is going to turn into a collectible it really doesn't matter and at some point this car is going to depreciate to whatever its value is as scrap metal which is to say the scratch is of no consequence.

This is not true! My FIL's 2015 minivan door is rusting. Car's absolutely rust.

if its made of metal. its not a matter of "if" it will rust, but "when"

if the scratch is through the clear coat through the paint to the skin. then you will need to get the door painted to make it look good again.

if its a small scratch that is just in the clear coat, a good body shop/detail shop can lessen the visual impact with wet sanding and polishing.

Depending on how bad the scratch is you could also look online for guidance/kits. (I am not handy but even I have touched up small but deep scratches).

Go to a local body shop instead of dealer. It will be much cheaper.

Depending on how bad the ding is ...there is probably no rush to do this.
