Our kid is RF at home but we are ok with temporary FF for travel at this point. Pretty light weight and very easy to install on plane and in car. Would definitely recommend.
+1. We've used a Maestro for the past three years. It's not my favorite seat ever, but it is so crazy light that the rest doesn't really matter. If we take a stroller along, it sits in the seat of the stroller, but my kids have also carried it through airports (upside down on their heads--they think it's fun, so who am I to suggest otherwise!) I would be comfortable with an ImmiGo or RideSafer Travel vest on trips where kids won't be sleeping in the car, but ours usually involve long drives on the other end so we need the head support of the more traditional seat.
