I’ve dated guys with women who are best friends. Some I had no problem with. Others I did. It wasn’t me being insecure. It was me picking up a vibe.

OP, sounds like you're giving mixed signals and your girlfriends realize it. If it were just one girlfriend, I'd say maybe she was insecure. But if this is a pattern, it's you who is making it look like you have feelings for your friend.

One of my good friends is a male, I am female. We've been best friends since 6th grade (both 50 now). Back in our early 20s, while visiting him in Chicago, we were running errands, including him getting a haircut. We were just laughing and talking, and the hair dresser asked how long we'd been married and we looked at each other and bust out laughing. Both happily married for 20+ years (me a little longer, he a little shorter), and our spouses are friendly now too. 100% platonic, always has been, always will be.

Our friendship was never an issue for my husband, nor his wife.

Honestly, this OP makes you sound young. How old are you?

But for argument's sake: are you attracted to your best friend? Do you comment on her appearance to your gf? That might be why your girlfriend thinks you like her.

My DH's best friend is a woman. They were best friends when we met and started dating. I love her, too - she was the most supportive of us when we were going through a rough patch while dating. It would never have occurred to me to ask him to stop spending time with her.

There is never a situation where guy and girl are "best friends" (versus just friends) and there aren't deeper feelings involved.

Sorry OP. And I say that from the perspective of the girl who was the friend, not the jealous girlfriend. Although I often thought it wasn't like that, it ALWAYS came out in the end. Always. Even if it took a decade.

It's either my girlfriend thinks I like her, or that want me to stop talking to) hanging out with her. I don't play those games. I just want a real relationship with a secure woman is that so wrong?
