The people who say this are generally miserable, struggled with infertility, and jealous. No form of birth control is 100%.

I have 3 bc no BC is 100% effective.

Love them more than anything- life is fine- inalwaysbplanned to have children someday. Just didn’t happen in the order I thought it would.

OP, he is 10 and our 4th. I’m 54 and DH is 55. We have a senior in college, a freshman, and a middle-schooler. We also have three elderly parents in our care. It is a LOT.

Would I have signed up for this? No. Is this the life I imagined for myself? No. Are there sacrifices for our older kids because there is less of everything to go around? Yes. But having said all that, would I change his existence if I could? No. I’m not one of those fuzzy moms who thinks her kids are the very best things in the world, but our lives would not be as rich, full or interesting without him. He completes our family, though nothing worth having is always easy.

You need a huge support network, but you can do this if you want to. I remember leaving the hospital with my fourth baby and looking back at the building. I realized this would possibly be the last time in life I was ever at the hospital for a happy occasion. His birth was a happy occasion, on the whole.

And each child is different but our last is definitely a little character. He reminds the older kids of the magic of childhood. He brings the older two kids back home more often, because they adore him even though he annoys them a lot. My fourth is a gift I never asked for, but a gift nonetheless

I was 14. He was born two months before I turned 15. It was as if he knew having a baby was super difficult, because he was the easiest you could possibly wish for. He's my favorite of all my kids.

You know nothing is 100% effective? I got pregnant (and miscarried thank goodness) on an IUD

I had my third at 37 thanks to sex when DH and I were tipsy. Worked out fine. Great kid! And then we had another one on purpose five years after that.

I am 40 and already have 3 kids (2 in elementary and 1 starting preschool). Im afraid I may be pregnant and freaking out.
