The new director cut field trips at Mt Olivet. They bring entertainers in house now.
Sad to hear it's going downhill. My kids (now in middle school) both went there and we had a great experience. I will say weekly chapel and grace at meals was a regular part of the day even 10 years ago (which was fine with us, we're also members of the church)

We are at Mt. Olivet. I think that it's really gone downhill in the past few years. No, the teachers do not really communicate with parents much at all. There is one really awesome teacher there, but I don't think she's happy, and I wouldn't be surprised if she was pushed out.
Don't know if this matters to you, but the preschool and the church are really trying to be more of a single unit. When we started, the preschool was just a school in the church building. Now they do Bible versus and go to chapel and really push the church thing. I think that the church is hurting and wants to convert members from the preschool families. It's pretty obvious.
It is not an academic preschool at all, and unless you do a lot of work on your own, your child will be behind classmates in K at APS. It's too late for me to switch now, but I would if my kid didn't love their friends there so much.
Also, parking is a huge PITA.
The 5s program is great though.
Wow! Thank you so much for your response.
Honestly, if it's the only place you get in. Take it. Your kid will be happy there. Just supplement when they are 4 or 5 at home.
Yes, resurrection is small but it’s in Northern Arlington.
Appreciate your honesty. Helps me so much during this lottery process!
