This. Pretty easy IMO— and you can sell much more than only the most upscale brands, yet do a lot less work than for a yard sale.

If your clothes are from the same kid from toddler to 10/11, try a consignment sale like Just Between Friends. It's a lot of work but can be a good payout. None of these consignment stores wants your old, out of date clothes. They want upscale brands.

Check out Lemon Lane in Falls Church. It's close to Tysons and it's a great store. I consign there all the time even though we've moved out of town!

If you live near Tysons, you can try Lemon Lane Consignment in Falls Church City. I don't have any experience consigning there but I do shop there regularly.

I live near Tysons. I don't think there are any children's consignments stores nearby. So, I am willing to travel... as long as I can drop off the clothes and I don't need to go back there to retrieve items.

529 in Old Town if you have good brands. They will give you 40% which isn't great, but if you have a ton of nice stuff it might be worthwhile.

For upscale/name brand clothes there are two in the Old Town/Del Ray area: Bellies & Babies (Del Ray) and 529 Consign.

If you have a lot it might make it worth your while to do a consignment sale through a local moms group or Just Between Friends.

I did a bunch of kids clothes on ThredUp. The first few times I used it it was an okay payout. However, last two times was terrible (they changed their payout and purchasing rules). I think the last bag I netted like $2.00 (before change used to get somewhere around $30-$45/bag) and decided to close my account. I used to like that you could purchase kids/adults clothes using the credits, but now they've changed it so that you can't return some items at all or there is a high fee. I haven't found other good sites, but decided to just donate our used clothes. I know there were a lot of negative reviews on ThredUp after change, so they might go back to old way, in which case I'd recommend it.

I am looking to sell some of my kids’ clothes. I have toddler outfits up to 10/12 clothes. I am considering One upon a Child in Gambrills, MD, Little Lords and Ladies in Chantilly, ThredUp online, Small Change Consignment in Reston, and Kid to Kid in Centerville. Have you sold through any of these stores? Did you have any luck? Are there any other consignment stores that you recommend? I also am considering donating if I don’t find a good place to consign.
