Because it’s a simple thing and this is how you write a demand letter. You aren’t giving them a deadline. (That’s why the time is a parenthetical. It’s not part of the suggested text.)

Basically, this is an action item that should take the principals office no more than 15 minutes. If it’s not done soon, they are ignoring it.

As long as the end of the year one is OK for next year's teacher does it matter?

She/he needs to also fix it on OASIS or have their SDT or secretary take care of it. If a teacher only fixes a grade in his/her grade book it won't show up as corrected on future report cards. It's a two-step process nowadays.

My MCPS kid's reading level went down substantially from MP1 to MP2, and I asked why and the teacher said she entered the wrong reading level, but said he was actually a higher level than what is on the report card. I'm glad to know my kid isn't doing worse, and the teacher apologized, but didn't mention fixing the error. Will it be difficult for the teacher if I ask her to correct the level in the system, or is it a lot of paperwork to adjust? He's in an early elementary grade, and I know it's not the end of the world, but I'd prefer not to have something listed that's wrong.
