Echoing pp. We also live in Van Ness and went through this process last year, and ended up with a (wonderful) nanny share. We're really not paying much more than we would have for one of the daycare centers we were on waitlists for (and less than Franklin Montessori). Good luck, and congratulations!

Key to the World or Lanier Lullabies in Adams Morgan. Or search the OSSE list for home daycares. Very few in NW.

We are expecting a baby girl in April and are looking for home daycare options (just learned of this term from a colleague!) We're on numerous wait lists for commercial daycares but they are either a little far from home or we stand chance of getting in due to the long wait list (e.g. Montessori in Vanness) Grateful for any advice. Thank you!
