oh honey, if this is what gets your BP up don't ever drive in DC.

Just this morning I will recap the asshole things I witnessed. A guy is turning right, but there is a bus in front of him getting passengers in and out. he is too impatient and important so he zooms around the bus and turns right as the bus driver is also pulling into traffic.

Three lanes on the road. Long line in the middle lane because that is the only one that keeps going straight. Assholes zoom around all of us and then try to cut you off to merge in. I guess we are all stupid for sitting in traffic and they are smart for zooming down the empty lane only to cut us off 3 seconds later.

And on, and on and on. I hate DC.

Why do you do this? Does it make you feel important? Are you just angry and want to take it out on me?

Probably b/c of the zipper effect and the general flow of traffic.

9 times out of ten th person merging is going slower than surrounding traffic, even if they speed up to pass, they still end up slowing down. if I'm cruising along in the right lane. nothing pisses me off more than some one passing me and then slowing down right in front of me.

christ if you are going to go slow, you could have done that behind me.

That is NOT what they're doing.

Agree OP, I hate this too. I makes me so mad when people do this. To save a second of time? Not sure why.

You sound like you speed up on people merging in front of you. If so, you deserve to be forced to slam on your brakes.

Truth. What's up with the people who speed up? Are you that petty AF in real life?

I don't know if it's a "Washington thing" or not, but I have noticed that if you are the last car in a line, people will invariably try to get in front of you rather than just getting behind you, at the end of the line, where there is lots of room. Why, why, why?

Lot of people just do not think ahead. Look at all the tailgaters, rational thinking person just would not tailgate, thus there are a lot of dummies out there. How do you think we ended up with the el presidente we have.

I'm happy to let people merge, but I'm talking about a situation where there is really not room for the person to merge ahead of me, given the spacing between our cars and our respective speeds, but the person merges ahead of me anyway, forcing me to brake suddenly or swerve out of the way.

It does make me feel important. Thanks for asking.

When you recap your day at the end of the night, you can rest easy knowing that you made a difference in my life.
