Day2 fresh transfer mom here, too. Not quite DOR, but close to it since I did not produce much eggs. Of the eggs that my clinic collected, only 1 was mature/normally fertilized, and we did day2 (4cell) fresh transfer. My kid is in elementary school now.

I am holding my Day 2 embryo right now. Some embryos just can't make it all the way to blast phase; they simply have a better chance back in the natural environment of the room versus in the lab or being biopsied for testing. My embryos could never survive to day five personally.

I’m the PP above. If you just have the one embryo it definitely makes sense to just transfer it. If you wait it may not grow to blast... this was the trouble I had. Transferring early certainly won’t decrease your chances if the embryo would have otherwise worked. Best of luck OP!

Yes, me! Absolutely a thing and yes it worked. I worked with Cornell. My embryos were frozen upon fertilization (2pn).

I'm also at GW, secondary infertility, and on my 2nd IVF cycle at GW. But I am 35 and only retrieved one egg. They want to do a Day 2 transfer also. So I guess it's a thing.
That said my successful cycle there in 2015 was a day 3 transfer.

My clinic told me that they did better with 3 day vs. 5. Trust them and do the 2 day.
