The movie is Serenity based off the tv show Firefly. Created by Joss’s Whedon
But you don’t have to watch the series before seeing the movie. My husband saw the movie first and really loved it even if space cowboys aren’t usually his thing.

I had higher expectations and wish I read some of the reviews so I at least could have adjusted my expectations. Good actors - terrible script.
