The Goethe doesn’t have classes for kids. The German school in Potomac runs a Saturday school for kids and adults.

Not aware of the Virginia resources for German, though perhaps the people at the German Gourmet grocery store in Falls Church could point you to them https://www.germangourmet.com/

In DC, there's the Goethe-Institute

The Dmv has quite strong live Saturday programs in French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese etc. Our DCs do French. Www.myfrenchclasses.org.

I think you are looking for something recorded or totally independent where a child can go at her own pace? If that is the case, I think the best thing by far that I have found is Rosetta Stone. It is pricey but they do have huge sales.

PP (02/04/2019 12:56), I want to homeschool my DD who will be turning 5 this year, next year, and was wondering if you knew of any similar homeschool programs for Kindergarteners - 1st grade / elementary. We are in Southern Maryland, and not being familiar with the homeschool system, I am taking the time this year to learn more.

Thank you for your suggestions!

We don't homeschool, but I am guessing folks in this forum might be more familiar with options outside of the public schools for foreign language learning.

Our DD wants to learn French and I was wondering what classes for middle school aged kids might be available? She wants to leap frog to French 2 in the fall. I also am curious about options to learn German. Welcome any suggestions!
