Deleted mine years ago and don't miss it.

I prune from time to time- I try to keep the number under 120 or so. I am on some Facebook groups relating to advocacy that work really well in Facebook, otherwise I might be temped to logoff. I did find it useful when my parents were ill and people needed updates. I also find it useful to keep up with people who live out of the area as I and they are not great letter writers. Most of my Facebook friends are close friends and family.

Deleted in October 2015. I live 1000 miles from home and it’s a good feeling to not be plugged into life in my hometown. My number hasn’t changed in 16 years; the ones who matter text me when they want to talk.

I love Facebook. But I have a pretty small list of out-of-town family and friends and we use it to keep in touch about mundane things. Then when we get together we’re all “up to speed.” I love seeing the nephews’ winter hockey pics and updates so when I see them in the spring I can ask about the games. I’m watching several cousins’ babies grow up on the west coast. Two college friends are avid travelers and I enjoy their updates. No one in my list posts political stuff and no one sells junk or posts off-color comments. It’s very civil and beneficial to me.

I deactivated my account almost 2 years ago. Best decision ever! I have gone back on a few times to check some specific things (vacation photos of friends) and when I look at it now I realize within 5 minutes that I don't miss it at all!

In fact, I think all social media should cease. I am so sick and tired on Twitter and the trouble it causes!

I'm still on FB, but I don't know why. There is literally NOTHING ON IT. My newsfeed is lame. No one posts anymore. It's ads or news articles or viral videos of babies and dogs.

Closed account last year - haven't missed it for a second. Still in touch with real friends.

Deleted FB years ago. Deleted Twitter last year. Don’t IG. Soon I will sink into the Earth and become one with nature.

Same, I deleted my account and opened a new only for viewing school info.

I don't defriend. I just unfollow

Since I don't post on it, makes no difference

I’ve cut out Facebook completely. I still have my account but only use it to see business posts.

It’s partly the New Year and partly that I’m sick of all the politics, but this week I cut my friends list in half. Best thing I have done lately!
