We have one and love it. I bought it on Dec. 31 a few years ago and got a great deal. I priced it online at a bunch of dealers and went with the second lowest bid (All within $100 at that point) with the very best customer service. Enjoy.

We bought one last year. If you want to save $, wait until right around the time that they're rolling out the new year's model (for us it was November), and save 5K or so off a comparable new model.

I'm planning to get a Honda CR-V too until I see it has fuel dilution and heating problem during extreme cold days. Google it or go to crvownersclub dot com forum.

I probably wait until it is confirmed from users/customer that the fix is working. I wouldn't listen to a dealer on that. Hopefully the 2019 does.

Got mine at Honda of Chantilly. Good deal. I recommend them for the purchase. But, do not use them for servicing. They really overcharge. I dinged my side mirror 4 DAYS (!!!) after buying my new vehicle. They wanted to charge me $700 to fix it. I took it to a body shop... $118. There was no need to replace the whole mirror. I only needed the cover that goes on the back of the mirror (plastic piece). That's when I knew I would not go there for servicing -- even the freebies. THe free coffee and wi-fi they offer isn't worth the extra $600!

I've had my CRV for 16 mos. Just had my SECOND routine oil change. It tells you when you need to get it done.

I like my CRV. But know it's not really a peppy car

I had a pretty good experience buying my Honda HRV at College Park Honda. Least pushy salesman I've worked with.

I had a good experience in 2017 at Herson's Honda in Rockville.

I have a 2017 which I replaced a 2007. I love the car. Only time the 2007 was in the shop other than car maintenance (oil change) was due to an accident. Very reliable. Drive the 2007 for 150k miles and got $3k for it - airbags recall needed replacement and car lock didn’t really work after accident.

For used you can try Car Max - they have TONS of CRVs, from almost new to a decade old, take your pick and your price.

We have 2. Will probably replace older one soon and can’t think of reason not to get another CRV as they are reliable, comfortable and easy to drive. We looked at the BMW but its not twice as good so happy to have spent half as much.

Are you looking for new or used?

All I can say is that my mother’s 2006 CRV is still going strong, with nearly 130,000 miles. Very minimal repairs. My parents say it’s the best car they’ve ever had and my father drives BMWs and my mother had Volvos before she got the CRV.

Haha OP here. I won't have any luck looking for a Honda CVR, so how about a Honda CRV?

My family needs a new car and I'm focusing on the CRV. I had considered the RAV but drove one recently and did not find it comfortable. If you have a CRV, any pointers when buying? Where in the DMV would you recommend we shop? (We live in NWDC).
