Many GGW contributors are very much involved in development.

Any many are not. All you need to be a GGW contributor is write a good article, they don't discriminate against people based on their line of work, and naturally some people with interests in this sort of thing end up in the RE industry.

It is an urbanist blog, but its also one of the best sources of news on development, transit, and even some other issues.

Annandale blog and Covering the Corridor both cover some of the local news, including some politics, in those areas of Fairfax County. And for Tyson’s Corner there’s the Tyson Reporter.

Yeah exactly and I don't even have a problem with GGW, I like some of their articles about transit for example and I find them interesting but they are a blog and should not be taken as "news." Anything they write about development is very slanted.

My local Board of Supervisors rep Linda Smyth sends a biannual newsletter that covers local development. It's online also.

Sharon Bulova has a monthly online newsletter but it isn't always about development.

Not that I know of. Canan Merchant at GGW talks about development issues in FFX, but mostly about Reston (where he lives).
