We are just looking at decent schools in NE. There isn't too much to choose from, so we aren't delving into philosophies etc
Hold on, if you say you're 0.5 mi from DC Prep Edgewood and looking for PK3, you're also close to Inspired, Lee, Stokes, Langley, Burroughs, Shining Stars, Bethune, Scrilli, St. Anthony's... and that's just decent preschool within a mile or something. You're complaining about no decent preschool in all of NE?!
Lee and Stokes are very hard to get into for PK3, and ITS is not easy either. Burroughs is the opposite direction of many people's commutes. Shining Stars and Bethune have some issues.
