Kotobuki on MacArthur blvd is reasonably priced and good (not as good as Sushi-Ko, but less expensive).

Yasaku is just as good as sushi-ko without the snootiness and DC prices; good and very local, the neighbors know best.

OP here. I just remembered the Women's March is on Saturday so we will probably avoid downtown because of the crowds. Sushi Taro is a good suggestion.

Sushi Ko in FH doesn’t have a great vibe. I find it to be snooty even though the sushi is great. I live down the street and haven’t been in years. RIP the original location in Glover Park.

I suggest Sushi Taro in Dupont. You can do sushi or Japanese/ Omasake.
Make a reservation since I believe it is Restaurant Week.

OP here. Anywhere from upper NW to Foggy Bottom to Chinatown. The whole quadrant works for me. Even Capitol Hill would work actually.

I suspect you're probably talking about upper NW but if you do mean downtown, Kaz at 19th & I has great sushi.

My sis and niece are coming into the city this weekend and we're going out to lunch. They want sushi. I like it too but I rarely go out for it. Where's a good place to bring them? We could do anywhere in NW DC.
