We have had good experiences at various Rockville camps including the art and cooking camps at the Senior Center and Way Off Broadway at the F Scott Fitzgerald Theater. My DD and DS both attended Summer Blast at College Gardens when younger (6, 7, 8) and enjoyed it. Loved the pool days. My DD also did a Cheerleading camp there that she loved, but they don't seem to offer it anymore.

They were great for my kids in the younger years. I loved that I could drop them at the same spot and they could attend different programs. Also the LITs meant there is lots of staff in addition to the adults. They are not the same as a Valley Mill or Calleva but excellent value. Older kids need the higher priced locations.

What was with registration this morning? We got wait listed, but then a friend was able to register for the same exact camp 10 minutes later. Kind of ticked off because now we have to scramble...

We had good experience with Summer Blast at College Gardens (and Elwood Smith) at age 6 and 7. It’s not thrilling, but my daughter had fun and regularly asked us to come pick her up later. They do crafts, games, playground, pool, etc. There are a few adult counselors and then a also a whole crew of CITs who will play with the kids.

I'm not impressed with College Gardens Summer Blast, but it's not bad ieither. I like how they go to the Rockville Swim Center, which has a splash park in addition to the pool. DD likes going there a few weeks each summer but doesn't want to spend two and a half months there.

I was looking at the Rockville City Camps guide this morning. Thinking about it for my 6 year old. Feedback on the general camps (not the specialty camps).
