I am very confused after reading all these messages. My son was recommended for Takoma Park and while he always scores 99% in MAP and gets straight A's, his cogat MCPS percentiles weren't as impressive (70's and 80's). We are Causasian in a W-feeder. Not sure why he was selected, to be honest, after seeing the scores for the kids who were not recommended.
Maybe we will hear more later today. Just curious what it takes to be an outlier to get into a MS magnet from a W-feeder school.

There have only been 3 or 4 acceptances listed on the other thread so,far. I imagine there will be more tomorrow as the mail is delivered.
I have not seen any W-feeder acceptances on the other thread.

We moved out of the area and one of our regrets was that DD wont be able to do the Global Ecology program at Poolesville. She is incredibly passionate about ecology and environmental science. If we moved back, I'd hate to think we would need to game where we would live so she can have a chance to participate in something that is supposed to cover a large section of schools but in reality doesn't.

(There is another thread, but it has other types of information including acceptances in general, and I think information will get lost when it goes to 10+ pages.)
My kid got in, but we cared enough about our child's education to move to a feeder where there wasn't a large cohort of high-performers.
