If she’s open to looking for comfortable jeans, most teenage girls think American Eagle jeans are very comfortable. They are the only jeans my girls will wear.

We get most of our 'athletic' pants from Modells and Old Navy. I've found Modells to be cheaper than other places and they've got a nice clearance rack.

My DD likes leggings best, but also wear boys cargo pants. Bonus - roomy pockets to carry phone, money, keys, etc.

There’s a grown woman at my work who only wears leggings and T-shirts every day. Jeans are very uncomfortable and I don’t see very many kids wearing them either. My son wears fleece track pants every day in the winter and track shorts in the warm weather.

My daughter wears leggings - mostly with t-shirts but sometimes she will wear a sweater. She has a ton of black ones. She also will wear athletic pants and jeggings. We've bought skirts, but seems she likes the idea of having them, but doesn't actually ever wear them.

Nic and Zoe make pants that are basically fancy leggings. They look like work pants. Probably doesn’t solve your casual problem but great for dressy events - with a nice floaty cardigan it’s like business casual leggings/T-shirt.

My 8th grade girl will only wear leggings (must be black), fleece or flannel PJ pants, and sweatpants.

From what I've seen teen girls only wear sweats or leggings.

I find jeans to be so uncomfortable. I could wear them to work but wear soft dressier pants or dresses because they are more comfortable. DD won’t wear them either. She wears mostly leggings but will wear athletic warmup pants. When warm out she sometimes wears casual dresses.

DD is in 6th grade and has only started wearing jeans this year. The jeans are basically leggings (not jeggings) and are soft so she likes them. Otherwise she wears black leggings and long tops or hoodies to school. She wears sweatpants on the weekend. Oh, we found soft pants (button and zipper) at Kohl’s as well. She likes them because the material is soft and does wear them to school as well. Her school, which is 6th through 12th grade, seems split… Most girls are either wearing leggings or jeans.

I don't wear jeans because they are uncomfortable AF and always have been and I don't have sensory issues.

H&M has nice soft dresses and Nord Rack has fleece lined leggings. Maybe that? I"m a 5'5 130 and the small size I see would fit a shorter person who weighs maybe 25 less.

I think leggings and a t, or a tunic is fine and great. I have scar tissue in my belly from an exploratory surgery when I was 8 and have always "struggled" with clothing at the waist. I'm a professional and it's tough at work and I have weird coping strategies that I won't go into.

For summer, how is she with dresses? again H&M.
