Will it go away after a course of antibiotic? Do we need to do any life style changes any idea
Agree 100 percent. I have no proof of course but the cycle I did this exact routine was successful for me (after many unsuccessful cycles.)Anonymous wrote:Yes, I just had one done a couple of weeks ago. Was shocked it came back positive for Chronic Endometritis (different from endometriosis - it's an endometrial infection), but it makes sense - I've had a ton of gynecological procedures as part of IVF and that's a risk factor for it. CE can cause implantation failure or miscarriage, so I feel like I really dodged a bullet. It's easily cured with antibiotics.
The biopsy itself is painful, but only briefly. For me, it was less painful than the HSG or my IUD insertion. Take 800 mg ibuprofen beforehand.
I'm so glad I did it. I likely would have had a failed transfer or miscarriage if not. And studies show both the "scratch" from the biopsy and the antibiotic (if you are positive and get treated) improve pregnancy rates. Totally worth it.
