OP, fight this immature impulse you have, to make a point and draw attention to yourself.

You really want attention focused on you, rather than the happy couple?

Move on.

No. You were the +1.

I was invited, but as part of a couple with my ex boyfriend. We were together just under 2 years. His college friend and I became friends through the be relationship. Not super close friends. I assumed I would not be going. But others have made it seem like I should still go.

Op, have you had any independent contact with this couple since you broke up? Did they reach out to you when they heard to ask how you are doing?

I honestly think it’s weird you’d want to go. This wasn’t your friend. It is your ex’s friend

Eh, I'd say if the invitation was addressed to you by name, it's legit to go. If OP and exBF got an invite for Jane Smith and John Jones, he can't bring another +1 without negotiating with you.

Do you want to go, OP?

If you don't have your own invitation, you don't go.

Uh, NO. If you do go, people will gossip about you.

No, you will not be going to your ex bf’s friends wedding. Such a strange question.

Since he was likely sent the invite with a +1, he chooses his guest, and I would assume you aren't going. If it was further out and invitations hadn't yet been sent, if I were the host I would get in touch with you and try to figure out if you wanted to attend.

If you are not good enough friends to be able call and talk to the couple to figure it out, I would say don't go.

I would assume you are not going.

The wedding is at the end if the month. Boyfriend and I broke up at the end of November. I'm 90 percent sure he has a new girlfriend. The wedding is for a mutual friend, but the friend was his friend first and I was the plus 1. I assumed I would not be going, but I have people assuming that I will. What's the norm?
