I had no plans to watch. To be honest I did not think Lifetime would do a good job. But I got sucked in, and plan to watch it all .

I don't understand how so many people are just now coming to the realization that he's a creep. He married Aaliyah when she was 15 and he was 27. Her debut album was titled "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" and he's staring at her on the cover like a pedophile. Not to mention "My mind is telling me no, but my body is telling me yes..."

There was a video and trial about him peeing and having sex with an underage girl yet everyone had collective amnesia a year later when "Step in the Name of Love" and "In the Closet" came out.

I haven't seen the show yet though I do intend to watch, but I have to ask if anything about the African american community is mentioned? I read an interesting article during the early "me too" days that black women are more hesitant to accuse black men because of the historically unfair treatment of black men in the justice system. Does any of that factor in here?

I watched it and was sick to my stomach. My heart breaks for all of these girls. I am also disappointed in all the parents and adults that were around and didn't do more. I loved his more mainstream songs but I can't listen anymore knowing all of the disgusting vile things he did. The video with the young teen was disgusting and I can't believe he was acquitted.

I watched it and will watch the remaining 4 episodes. I've followed the R.Kelly saga for years since Jim DeRogatis' first articles in the Chicago Sun-Times, his follow-up investigations in The Village Voice and on BuzzFeed. This quote of his has stuck with me for years: "The saddest fact I've learned is nobody matters less to our society than young black women."

I was shocked by the marriage with Aaliyah, and that no one was talking about his grooming of her. Most eye-opening was all the stories of him taking advantage of poor families, by promising to help careers, but really as a pretext to molest their children, which came out in the trial. I've even seen the tape - it's horrifying. I was a fan of his music for years but as they said in the documentary last night - the words; he was hiding in plain sight.

He's a monster. I hope this is the end of his 30 year serial rape and abuse spree.
