I'm 5'11" and my husband is 5'8", married for 38 years. There are so many more important things than height. As long as your height doesn't make him feel insecure, I say go for it.

You are being shallow kind of the same as a guy thinking your boobs aren't big enough etc however if height / boob size really matters then no point in stringing someone along.

That said, I would go meet him. but if the height thing is a deal breaker for you, don't see him again after coffee

My husband is the shortest person I ever dated. He's 5'9 and I'm 5'7. I agree with PP that as long as he's not shorter than me I'm okay but I get it.....go for it OP!

Give it a chance. When I met my husband I thought he had thin lips and a small mouth. Now I don’t even notice or remember why I thought that.

I've been divorced for 2 years now and have just recently - like in the last two months- started 'dating' again.

I've met a few nice guys but no one that made my heart skip until NYE. He was at a neighborhood party as a friend of one of my other neighbors. He's 40, not bald, pretty cute, director at some non profit, has hobbies (running, cooking, sailing) but... he's short. He's probably 5'6" or 5' 7". I'm 5'5" for the record. We are probably equal in terms of attractiveness. He texted yesterday to see about grabbing coffee and walking around Roosevelt Island this Sunday.

I'm not sure I can do it. If he were 4 inches taller I'd do it in a second ...but I just can't be with a short guy. My sister says I'm crazy but my gfs say it's totally reasonable.
