If anyone got the chance to read Jennifer Rubin's column in the post, she made the case for Larry Hogan to challenge Trump in 2020:

Even if Hogan were interested, I think it's a long shot, because the Trump Republicans are so far gone they would never vote for (who they would presume as) a RINO over their Dear Leader, but for the sake of the hypothetical:
If Hogan ran for President, and were nominated, would he carry Maryland?
Would he likely make a rightward turn in his second term, and would Marylanders continue to support him if he does? Does Maryland's Love for Larry carry over onto the national level, where they have elected Democrats to federal offices for 30 years?
