Bummer! Thank you for your response. I've found a few places/people who say they had successful FET when they had dropped down to a few feeds a day (and just didn't tell RE) but we're still doing 4 during the day and 1-2 at night :/ I guess every body is different but people have conceived while breastfeeding as frequently as I am now... I would imagine they could test the prolactin levels and go from there?! My RE was acting like weaning was no big deal when he met the baby at 6/7 months. We had barely started solids!

FWIW, my cycles have returned and are somehow text book 28-29 days with signs of ovulation (CM, etc.) so I guess we'll just try in the meantime. I know it is rare but fertility reversals do happen. Congratulations on your little nursling miracle. Good luck to you and everyone else TTC!

I called GW with the same question and was told they would not begin the process until DD was fully weaned.

Hello there! I posted this in the TTC section but realize it might be more appropriate here:

I have a great nursing relationship with my nearly 1 year old and don't want to rush into weaning but I am considering when to do another FET (have one remaining embryo and I just turned 40.) Obviously, my RE (at SGF) wants the first baby fully weaned to be as controlling as possible but I am wondering if anyone here has experience doing an FET while breastfeeding? Or what your experience/tips were with deciding on a timeline for weaning? Thanks in advance!

FWIW, we are TTC on our own in the meantime but realize the odds are pretty slim. (Tried for years; many failed IUIs, only measurable issue was very slight male issues that we mitigated with ICSI.) Any advice regarding TTC while breastfeeding would be welcomed too!
