You can't retake the WISC whenever you want to. There is a rule that you can't take it more than once in a year or six months. Prepping invalidates the results, if if a tester feels your child has been prepped there is likely some kind of notation on the report.

It’s good enough it is worth appealing with but not so amazing that I think your child is guaranteed to get in. When we did a WISC at GMU they were able to promise very fast turn around as they are tuned in to the appeals schedule so I am surprised by that.

If the private psychologist overheard that someone, a note will be made that the WISC isn't reliable. If you want to prep your DC and try again, keep that in mind.
The WISC score is good, go ahead and use it in your appeal. I can't say whether you'll be successful, but you can certainly try.

DD was rejected for AAP despite high NNAT and cogat. We are from a private school.
We just did WISC-V with a private psychologist since it is not possible to get the result from GMU before the deadline of Dec 17. Does anyone know if this is a good number that we should appeal with? I searched in this forum and someone said above 135 is considered good.....
The score is: VCI 130 98%, VS 129 97%, Fluid reasoning 123 94%, WMI 115 84% PSU 135 99% and Full score FSIQ is 131 98%.
We did the test in a rush so there is no preparation for it. (I learned what it is from wikipedia when i was waiting outside...) I heard that someone is taking it after training and we can take multiple times and just pick the best score to FCPS. Is this true?
