No one reads the description under the forum title.

They just go into recent topics, see General Parenting and assume that means they can post about any parenting topic the tickles their fancy, all the way up to high school topics.

Because that is what "general parenting" implies.

What about changing it to "Early Childhood"?

That is the term used in education for people who study development of preschoolers and very young children.

(There was yet another teen post in the General Parenting forum)

Parenting - Special Concerns could possibly benefit from a little boost on the name too.

I had no idea it meant divorced/single/foster/adopted. I received many more replies and more support when I was starting divorced parenting threads or divorce stress threads in relationships or family before I knew about special concerns.

Not sure how to best label it though. I also agree with OP & PP.

Infant, toddler and preschooler would be perfect.

It seems to confuse some posters that "general parenting" is for topics related to children under four, while other forums are clear about what age they are for (expectant and postpartum, elementary, tweens and teens, college). I saw you were considering some changes related to the nanny forum and wanted to suggest considering also clarifying that general parenting is for younger children by calling it something like "infants and toddlers" or "infant, toddler and preschooler".
