For a 3 year-old, I would get a 12-inch Melissa and Doug doll. They are about $20 and size appropriately for a child that small. Search for Melissa and Doug Jenna doll on Amazon. She is adorable. Not an AG substitute as it is a much smaller doll, but much more appropriate for that age and adorable.

I know there are some off-brand American Girl-style dolls that are similar quality without the price tag. Is there an equivalent for the Bitty Baby line? My 3yo played woth them at the AG store in tysons but I think she’s too young to spend that much on a doll. Looking for something similar that is not so expensive but still sturdy.
