The bump does not change the grade shown on the report card. It is only reflected in the weighted GPA.

Also keep in mind that most colleges consider the unweighted gpa for admissions, and use the weighted gpa as a reflection of course rigor.

High school courses that have honors are weighted 0.5 points.

AP classes get a 1.0 grade bump.

It doesn't matter in middle school unless you are taking a high school class like Alg. Hons., or Geom. Hons. If you got a B in Alg. Hons. it would count as 3.5 on your HS transcript.

Math 7 hons doesn't have any grade point bump.

Hello DC Moms and Dads

Rel. New to NoVA. DC is a raising MS in FCPS. Above average. Non AAP. Likes/Appreciates Math. Will end up doing Math 7 H mostly.
Question is - do Honor classes have a higher weightage ?
What about subjects like Alg H, Geo H....later in 8th grade/HS. Is it weighted differently?
Please help.
