For my second, I only did singles because I genuinely thought twins would end my marriage and/or send me to the nuthouse. I couldn’t risk it. It took a few, but she is sitting right here with me.

Best of luck.

currently 35yo. Overall, I am healthy but we have severe male factor (chromosome translocation). Antral follicle count around 17-19 each cycle with 9-11 eggs retrieved but only one made it to blast in the first two cycles and two made it to blast this last time. First two IVF's the PGS test came back abnormal. This past cycle, one was abnormal and one was normal (AB). Obviously, transferred the normal. We used Dr. Devine at SGF along with Dr. Shin for male factor. They are a great team. We loved working with both of them. Devine changed my last protocol to a lupron flare to try to increase my retrieval number, but I actually had less retrieved. But, I believe the lower dosage of meds may have helped have better quality eggs. There is so much to consider and obviously every couple is different.

Keep up hope. If at SGF, I highly recommend the group therapy sessions or something similar. It was nice to be around others in the same boat.

So encouraging to hear - very happy for you. Can you share more about what your numbers looked like (age, amh, antral follicle count, etc) and what your cycle results looked like (number retrieved, fertilized, etc)?

My single remaining embryo from a 41 yo egg that was frozen, thawed and tested and refrozen, then thawed again and finally implanted into a surrogate, is now a perfect amazing healthy baby. It really is true it only takes one! Good luck to you, OP, I'm rooting for you.

depend on your age, PGS tested embryos could be as high as 50% for pregnancy. But live birth chance is somewhat lower. Look at SART from CDC for your clinic. Or ask your doctor for their latest SART report

Only one embryo made it to transfer from my batch of frozen DE. I didn't have much hope but he's tough and now four.

I did natural cycle IVF. Retrieved one, that fertilized and made it to day 3, transferred it, and it's now a 5 year old sitting in the other room watching Tayo the Bus. Only IVF I did. Miracles can happen.

We are currently 8 wks pg from a transfer of our second to last embryo. Our previous transfer - of a "better" embie - didn't take so we figured we were just going through the motions with our remaining crappy embies.

I went through 8 cycles and many transfers with multiple embryos. My son was from a transfer of 2 3-day embryos. My daughter was my very last embryo and the only one that ever made it to a day 5 freeze (and was untested).

I transferred a single embryo that took. My daughter is now 9 years old.

Good luck

My first transfer failed and I didn't have any "normal" embryos left from that cycle so after that I took a couple months off and then did another cycle. From that second cycle I only had 3 embryos (7 retrieved) make it to blast and after pgs/pgd testing only one of those was both pgs and pgd normal so I transferred that one embryo as my last hope. I got a BFP and am currently cautiously optimistic as I'm still in my first trimester and still afraid of a miscarriage.
I also did an ERA before my second cycle which resulted in me being "receptive" which means they were transferring on the right day. Even though the ERA didn't yield any changes in protocol I'm glad I did since that 1 embryo was my last shot. Are you doing pgs testing?

I have only one embryo left for transfer, I know people say 1 is all it takes.. success stories will help reduce my anxiety
